Prelude Music
The Prelude is the music played 20 to 30 minutes before your ceremony. Your music selections will set the mood for your wedding, whether it be religious, elegant or Romantic. If your wedding is in a church, the music should be appropriate to permit guests to pray, reflect or have light conversation. Processional
The ceremony begins with the entrance of the bridal party and will sometimes include a special song for the lighting of the unity candle or signing of the registrar. Normally the ushers lead the procession, followed by the bridesmaids, maid/matron of honor, the ring bearer, and then the flower girl. Since the brides entrance is the most important part of the processional, there should be a noticeable increase in volume, or a separate song choice when it is time for her to enter. Recessional
This marks the ending of the ceremony. the bride and groom are announced as man and wife and they exit together, arm-in-arm, and are followed by the bridal party. This music should be upbeat, majestic and played until all of the guests have gone through the receiving line. |
